Leaving Kenyas capital, Nairobi this morning our journey takes across the stunning vistas of the Great Rift Valley and onwards to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Passing Mount Longonot and the Loita Hills we eventually arrive at our tented camp on the fringe of the reserve.We enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve on arrival.
We enter the park twice today, first in the morning for an early game drive seeing if we can spot some of the many different animals that the park is so famous for. While the animals are less active in the heat of the day we return to our camp and relax before heading out again in the afternoon for another game drive.
Heading away from the park this morning we retrace our steps back to Nairobi. Pausing along the way at a couple of craft markets to pick up some souvenirs before arriving in Nairobi this afternoon.
