We will then stop for a traditional Russian lunch in a spot beloved by locals in a central area. After our meal we'll continue our St. Petersburg discovery by visiting its most beautiful and interesting metro stations. Using public transport in big cities is often a rather dull affair but riding the Metro in St. Petersburg is, rather unusually, one of the city’s most unmissable attractions. There you might feel as though you have stepped into a palace, as the architecture is so grand. We will visit an old railway station, the first of its kind in the Russian empire with the design inspired by Gustav Eiffel’s famous tower in Paris. To give you the full picture of the city, we will then take you to an old local market where you'll learn all about local food and snacks and how locals go about their daily shopping. After the market discovery your tour comes to an end. You can then return to your ship full of memorable moments of the charming city of St. Petersburg!
