Few places in the world have so much to show off in such a relatively small area. On this short introduction to Mexico you will travel from the Megalopolis international city of Mexico City down towards what is called the Pearl of the Pacific, Acapulco, visiting historical wonders like Cuernavaca and the incredible city of Taxco.
You start the tour in the sprawling city of around 9 million people, built at an altitude of 2240 (masl) on the foundations of the old Aztec capitol of Teotihuacan. We will travel from the heights of Mexico to the coastal playground of Acapulco and to the sunshine coast of Guerrero State. Along the way we will wander the old colonial streets of Cuernavaca and Taxco and admire the rich culture that ice flowered fro m this landscape.
Day 1: Mexico City arrival

Day 2: Historical center & antropology museum (B)
Shared SiB-service: Morning visit to the historical center of Mexico City: Reforma Boulevard with Monuments, Zocalo Main Square with National Palace, Mural Paintings, Cathedral, View on former Aztec Main Temple (from outside) and Chapultepec Park area. Mexico City is one of the most enjoyable destinations. Its historic centre, better known as Zocalo, is declared World Heritage by UNESCO and is the heart of a living culture that exudes everything accumulated since the founding of Tenochtitlan. Visit its neighbourhoods flooded with art nouveau and art deco, enjoy its cuisine and lose yourself in the streets of the city with the most museums in the world.
Day 3: Teotihuacan & Basilica de Guadalupe (B)
Shared SiB-service: Morning drive out of Mexico City. On the way, visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe. See the Old & New Basilica, Tepeyac Hill and small chapels, as well as the original piece of cloth with the Virgin's image in the most important pilgrimage site for catholics in Latin America. Afterwards, proceed to the village of Teotihuacan and its archaeological site, to see there the Citadel, Quetzalcoatl Temple, Road of the Death, Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, as well as the Palace of Quetzalpapalo tl. Day 4: Mexico City - Cuernavaca - Taxco (B)
Shared SiB-service: Morning departure from Mexico City. Drive over the southern mountains down into the valley of Cuernavaca, this so called "City of Eternal Spring", to visit here the oldest cathedral in Mexico with its open chapel which is an important detail in the missionary work the colonial spanish crown did in so called New Spain, as well as to have a panoramic view on so called Palacio de Cortés, which was the first administrative building of the spanyards built in early 16th century. In the afternoon, drive from Cuernavaca into the mountains of the Southern Sierra Madre, and get finally to Taxco, the so called Silver City. Enjoy here the visit of the Borda Main Square with the Sta. Prisca church, and during some free time, explore the picturesque lanes with tile roofed houses, in which you will find silver markets and art galleries. Rest of the day at leisure in Taxco.

Day 5: Taxco - Acapulco (B)
