The Bat Islands are located in a protected Marine Park inside the Guanacaste conservation areas. Is one of the most beautiful chain of islands in Costa Rican and home to a diverse, dry tropical forest. The conservation area has over 163,000 hectares of protected land and 43,000 hectares of protected waters, including the Bat Islands Archipelago.
The Guanacaste province and its protected area offer spectacular views of dozens of secluded, solitary beaches along its coastline. It is home to 2.5% of the planet’s biodiversity and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Costa Rica scuba diving trip includes three main geographical areas in the North Pacific of Guanacaste: Bahia Culebra and Catalina Islands Area, Cuajiniquil and El Jobo Area, and Bat Islands in Santa Rosa National Park. These areas are very diverse with an opportunity to dive with lots of species of rays, mantas, turtles, sharks, large schools of tropical fish, frogfish and other macro life. Large pelagics such as Humpback Whales, dolphin and other shcarks are seen. Guests will dive up to 4 dives a day including 3 night dives. View the itinerary for the day to day schedule.
Day 1: Pick Up from host hotel (time depends on high tide), transfer to Puntarenas. Depart and overnight navigation to Punta Gorda, Bahia Culebra
Day 2: Punta Gorda - Diving Tiburones/Acuario, Virador/Arcoiris, Punta Gorda - night dive
Day 3: Early navigation to Playa Blanca Bay and diving Barco Viejo Wreck, Punta Blanca. Navigate to El Jobo, La Rueda de Chicago. Moor in Cuajiniquil Bay
Day 4: Diving Coral Negro, Murcielago Islands. Lunch on beautiful deserted beach followed by Diving Bajo Negro. We moor in El refugio, Murcielago Islands, Santa Rosa National Park
Day 5: Diving The Big Scare, Los Arcos, Hiking in Murcielago Islands (beautiful views) and end the day with diving Baja Negro
Day 6: Diving The Big Scare, Los Arcos, Baja Negro before we trave to Punta Gorda, afternoon and night diving and we end the day with a BBQ on the top deck
Day 7: Early navigation to Catalina Islands. Diving La Viuda, La Pared. After navigation to Puntarenas-Day 8: 7 am Breakfast and 7:30 am Depart for host hotels and airport in San Jose
