Taste sweet and savory local delights from Koreatown, Little Armenia and Thai Town Experience the culture and history of these diverse neighborhoods Admire ornate historic architecture and get a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign Explore the pubs, dive bars and restaurants of Hollywood’s Golden Age, once frequented by the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe and Ernest Hemingway Strike up conversation with locals over a signature cocktail
You’ll venture off the beaten path into some of Los Angeles’ most ethnic enclaves, where locals live as though they’ve never left home. Signs in foreign languages, traditional snack shops, and ethnic markets line these neighborhood streets, making each visit an epic adventure you won't be forgetting in a hurry! While exploring different neighborhoods on foot, you'll learn how these enclaves came about, what makes them unique, and where to find some of the city’s best and most hidden ethnic cuisine. We’ll enjoy unique and delicious tastings in markets, restaurants, bakeries, and hole-in-the-wall eateries, making sure to include a variety of both sweet and savory ethnic LA food. As we walk and ride the metro through the neighborhoods, you’ll get to observe life in some of LA’s most vibrant areas, highlighting traditional homes, architecture, and cultural hotspots. From Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination site to Korean karaoke bars, and Thai spirit houses, this cultural Los Angeles tour introduces you to the city’s lesser-known and off-beat sectors, where you’re sure to discover many treasures and discover a different side to this legendary city. During the course of the day, we’ll enjoy enough food for a whole meal, so please come with an appetite! After spending the daylight hours delighting in the sights and bites of Koreatown, Thai Town, and Little Armenia, we’ll venture to Hollywood Blvd. for an evening stroll of the “Walk of Fame” by exploring the iconic and institutions that capture the true essence of Hollywood. While soaking up the ambiance of Hollywood’s Golden Era bars, you’ll learn about the stars that dot the Boulevard, both literally and figuratively, and discover the famous and infamous bars along the walk that were lunch spots and evening haunts to the celebrities and wannabes of Hollywood’s Golden Age, and still appear frequently in film and television today. Speakeasies, mobster hangouts, and even a “Writer’s Room” are the lesser-known histories lodged within these historic hot spots. Go behind the scenes — behind the beautiful Art Deco facades and bright neon lights — where these bars, lounges and restaurants are host to celebrity lore, ghost stories, and maybe even star sightings. We’ll stroll the boulevard on foot, stopping into bars of note and admiring iconic buildings along the way. We’ll enjoy select libations at designated locations and stop for a light snack along the way. By the end of our day together, you’ll know where the locals go to eat and drink in 4 of LA’s most distinct neighborhoods, and walk away with a deeper understanding of how those neighborhoods came to be!

Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.
