Raja Ampat certainly represents the world’s richest marine diversity, with the highest number of known species of fish, corals, and mollusks. Certain areas are known for its density of fish; one with groups of Manta Rays, the others with schools of barracudas, parrotfish, humpback groupers and the list goes on. Not to mention the best macro you will see everywhere.
It is certainly the world’s most biodiverse marine region with more recorded fish, coral and mollusks species than anywhere else on the planet. Some areas boost enormous schools of fishes ; there are spots with large groups of manta rays, other with schools of barracudas, trevallies, bump head parrot fish, large groupers, and of course always a great variety of critters. The reefs are varied as their inhabitants, with vertical walls, seamounts, pinnacles, slopes, caves, lagoons, some more covered with hard corals and other displaying colorful soft corals. Everywhere you will find a lot of gorgonians with their resident pygmy seahorses. Everywhere you will find a profusion of colors and life.
Above the sea you’ll discover incredibly beautiful landscapes : quartz islands labyrinths, extensive mangrove forests, deserted beaches and tiny villages, that are as many opportunities for a visit to shore. During the trip we will organize some shore visits in villages and in wonderful lagoon. We will climb the montain to reach a fantastic view point in Wayag and last but not least we will discover the beauty of the bird of paradise parade.Day 1: Guest reception at Sorong airport, transfer to the boat, Check in, welcome drink, briefing, departure in the evening. According to weather forecast, we will start the tour by the south or the North. In this schedule, we present the option starting with the South. Over night Navigation through Sele Strait to reach the East of Misool. Arrival in the early morning.

Currents: The currents are generally consistent with strong currents at about one-third of the dive sites. Divers are suggested to stay cautious about the depth and dive profiles due to the isolated location of the reefs and the currents of the area. * Level 2 or PADI Advanced with a minimum of 50 dives required.
Visibility: The visibility is generally around 20 meters but might drop to 10 meters or less due to the concentration of nutrients in the water, tidal changes andor plankton blooms.
The best time to visit Raja Ampat is from November to April. During the SE monsoon, the sea condition in Misool gets rough and the visibility tends to be poor. This period is also the driest, even though the climate remains equatorial with numerous showers throughout the year.

Climate & diving conditions: There is no clear separation between dry and wet seasons. The driest months are from November to March, but rain is possible at any time. The SE Monsoon from May to October might limit our access to the sites outside the Dampier Strait.
Water temperature: The sea water temperature is averaging at 28°C throughout the year.
