We visit highlights such as the Golden Mile, Phansi Museum and the Botanical Gardens.
The second half of the day we visit milestone sites, where South Africas first steps toward Democracy were taken. This includes the site where Nelson Mandela famously cast the first free and fair election vote in 1994. We then learn more about Mahatma Gandhi and his vision and time spent in Durban while visiting his homestead in the local settlement. Seeing the informal townships that skirt the suburbs we visit the oldest African private school for girls, Inanda Seminary.
