Get right into the heart of the places we visit with this trip that includes a whole bunch of quintessentially American activities. This morning we head off for the Grand Canyon! You’ve got the whole day free to hike – but if you want a recommendation, try the Rim Trail! While the whole thing is a whopping 21km, there’s shuttle stops dotted throughout, so if you get far out and don’t fancy the return journey, you can hop on it and return to Grand Canyon Village.

We’ll rendezvous this evening at the Hopi House, next door to the El Tovar Hotel. Here, we’ll watch the spectacular sunset and wait for the stars to come out, before we grab the shuttle back to our cabin camp. Then it’s time for s’mores around the campfire before bed.
